Best Way to Record Swing

I want to record, and upload my swing because I know it needs a lot of help. Any suggestions on being able to do this without hitting a ball? I am uncomfortable filming myself at the driving range this early in my training

 

Is a cell phone good enough? What about a point and shot camera?

You can get good results with a cell phone, I'm sure you can be the judge on quality there. If you can get an increased frame rate it helps.

Position is as important as anything though and it's best to upload a down the line (DTL) view where you position the camera down the target line and try and get the camera on the ball to target line, and a face on (FO) view where the camera is looking at you swinging face on. Try and set up the camera around waist height too.

I would suggest that it's almost worthless to post a video where you're not hitting balls as the difference between practice swing and ball swing are usually quite dramatic!

Don't worry about what people think at the driving range. Odds are they have their own issues and couldn't care less about what you are doing. If they do, then screw em'.

Get one of those bag mounts for a camera and nobody will even know you are recording your swing.

Also, agree with the above poster, your practice swing and swing with a ball in front of you are usually miles apart.

That may be the best thing you could do. It might get conversations started and very helpful results.
