I hate the golf coverage right now!

im sick of them showing the celebs hack it up. i want to see the pros play...i emailed TGC and complained. if a lot of us complain maybe they'll stop showing the hacks. just my opinion.

 

Not gonna happen. Ratings for these events are driven by the celebrity golfers because the average fan wants to see them play. In fact some of the average fans want to see them hack it up more than they want to see the golfers play well. So celebrity coverage is going to continue to be there and may even expand.

The coverage drives me ... :superman: and is on the verge of making me want to... :)

 

Now I have to agree. How about during Sunday's coverage when the Bear's game was over. The score of the game popped up on the screen and then Kelly said something like - Welcome to those football fans who are just switching over from the Bears game where the score was blah blah blah. Hello, if they were watching the game they know the bloody score. If we wanted to know we could read it off the screen. And, for those who were recording it to watch later after the pathetic golf coverage she just ruined it by reading the score. Duh!

 

Pathetic. Plus during their broadcast they were giving the scores of the Champions Tour tournament even though they were going to broadcast the coverage later. What is wrong with this picture?

 

You know this is 2007 not 1970. More than a few people have recorders of some nature. They record sporting events to watch later. If they really want to know the score they can even go to their computer which most people have. Giving out scores during a sporting event without warning is just rude. Try to get your broadcast right and don't worry about what's going on somewhere else.

Why are they showing tournament replays on Monday night? I saw this yesterday. Mondays used to be interesting with "your game night". I guess it's better than " Tiger on the Prowl" or replays of Big Break III.

If they are going to be different, they need to show more features like they do with their Senior Tour - er- Champions Tour coverage. Show these guys on the driving range, or put Adam Barr out there and show the new equipment they're using. Give us something new besides that aim-line on putts (which I actually like)

Their coverage just makes me even happier to be out playing golf instead of watching golf. Although watching Tadd's finish last week and Charlie's finish this week was worth tuning in for!
