West Palm Beach Driving Ranges

Hi all,

I'm going to be traveling to the West Palm Beach area pretty heavily for the next 4-5 months on a work assignment. I'm looking for some good driving ranges/practice facilities nearby. Preferably a lighted one that closes after sunset, so I have a place to spend some time after work during the week. North Palm Beach GC looks good, but I've heard sometimes they move the tees up and you can't hit driver. If you have any recommendations for a good course nearby I'd love that as well, for the weekends. I'm basically trying to use this as an opportunity to practice. I'm a 13 hcap, and I think time spent around the greens could help get me to single digits; but the courses where I live (Northern VA) tend to be crowded, so there is seldom an opportunity to practice on a course, and most clubs pay little or no attention to their short game facilities.

Where in palm beach? If you are north the PGA runs a great practice facility in port st lucie. PSL is about 45 mins north of West Palm Beach.

Thanks! I had heard about Port St. Lucie and went to their website. It looks like that is definitely worth a visit, maybe on a weekend though since it's a little bit of a drive. Looks like I'll be just south of I-95 and PGA boulevard. I like a town that has a street named after golf....good sign.

when I lived in the area we used to go to John Prince Park, it was lighted and you were hitting off of real grass. its in Lake Worth (I think). Okeheelee also had a decent range, but that was a few years back. Good luck

I second John Prince Park. It is off of Congress just south 10th Ave in Lake Worth, very close to I-95. Besides a lighted range, chipping green, and putting green, they have a 3 hole practice course if you get the urge to play.
