Callaway constant weight rifle shaft in x-14 pro series

Does anyone know anything about this shaft? I currently play standard x-14s with the uniflex steel shaft, but am thinking of making the move to x-14 pro series with the constant weight rifle shaft. I recently picked up a x-14 pro series 6 iron on ebay (for $.99 plus $10 for shipping, love the bay) and it has a constant weight rifle shaft in stiff flex.

Does anyone play this shaft? How about the same shaft in regular flex? Does anyone play that? I'm just looking for some input. Thanks in advance.

I play X-14 Pro series which I was fitted for by Callaway.

The shafts are great. I play an x-stiff which Callaway informed me were 6.5 on the Rifle scale, however, I recently had them tested and they are more like 6.2 on averge, so they are softer than stated.

They certainly don't play too stiff. Not sure how this relates to the other flexes.

Apparently there are still tour pro's playing this head although I'm not sure how believable that is.

I've got them in mine in a stiff flex. I'm kinda curious as to whether I should reshaft, but I'm just now getting into playing again after a 2 year hiatus, so I really don't know how good the shafts are. I wasn't fitted for them or anything, I just bought them blind off Callaway Preowned. When I was playing regularly a couple years ago, I hit my irons very well (by my standards).

rifles arn't worth your cash if you don't swing really hard or have a problem getting the ball into the air. the constant weight can be found for cheap in other shafts such as dynamic black gold. true temper r100 or s300 would even be a step up from uniflex and they are 10 bucks a shaft or less. you can find a whole set on ebay for like 50 bucks. True Temper also makes dynalite shafts which are much lighter than uniflexs. However some people do fit really well into a rifle shaft. I've always hated them but thats just me. Your best bet is to go into a golf store and hit them. Compare them to a cheaper shaft and if they really make a difference than go for it. But in my expierence you pay a lot for rifle shafts and most times they don't even make a difference. If you want to become a serious golfer you must move away from uniflex shafts though. A shaft fitted for your swing speed will increase your distance and launch angle.
