What kind of games can 25 golfers with varying handicaps play???

Heading up an outing to Tennessee later this winter. Have 25 guys going with handicaps ranging from +2 to 23. We will be playing 18 holes on your own ball and 18 holes of some different game, ie. scramble, alternate shot, etc. per day for 5 days. What are some kind of games we can play to keep everyone interested...was thinking 1 gross 1 net bestball sorta thing.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

With 25 guys, you could easily break them into two groups, maybe a +10/-10 grouping? Just move that number to even things out as needed. This way you could do two separate flights/groups and have games within that.

SKINS GAME!!! 75% handicap, round up. Nobody gets 2 strokes on a hole, and nobody gets a stroke on a par 3. Write a list of names down a list on a grid, holes 1-18 at the top. Put in everyone's hole by hole net scores. It's not hard when somebody reads them to you.

2 tie, all tie. You will probably have between 2 and 7 skins. $10 per person works well, but you can always go more or less.

I've played and organized a Chicago game which is fun because it gives even the high-handicappers a chance to win prizes.

For large groups with established handicaps, a points game is easy.

8 for eagle, 4 for birdie, 2 for par, 1 for bogey.

To figure what a golfer should pull, just subtract his/her handicap from 36. An 18 handicap should pull 18 points. A scratch handicap 36. A 2 handicap 34 points. A 24 handicap pulls 12 points. At the end of the round, take every player's actual points and see how many + or - he was from his pre-round "quota".

If you want a team game, you can blind draw teams after the round so everyone can play with whom they choose, or you can assign beforehand and pair teammates up.

An example of a fun game is where everyone throws say $25 in the pot. For 24 golfers that's $600. Everyone play with whoever they choose (that way guys that want to group up and play games within their own group can (i.e. wolf, skins, etc.). Blind draw after the round for teams of 4. That'll give you 6 teams. Pay 50% of the pot ($300 = $75 per man) to the team that is the most over their pre-round quota. 20% ($120 = $30 per man) of the pot to the 2nd place team. 20% of the pot ($120)for skins. 10% ($60) of the pot to the single player that is most points over his pre-round quota.

I have a group of guys that gets together and plays with handicaps pretty much varying like yours and it works out great!
