i havent hit the K yet, but the K series has a flatter lie angle, which was a big issue with many people about the G's.
[

The lie angles are the same according to the specs on PING's web site. The internal weighting is different.

PING K15, 10.5*
PING K15, 5w
PING K15, 4 hybrid
PING Gmax, 5-SW
PING G20, LW (bent to 60*)
PING Nome

Guys
Anyone hit both yet and are there any differences as they look very similar. Im a fan of the G15 and wonder what advantages if any the K15 would bring or is it really just a way of integrating the G15 in to K15 line-up?

I hit them side by side today when the Ping Reps visited for a demo day. I actually ordered the K15 3 and 4 hybrid after hitting lot's of everything in their travel stock. I went there expecting to buy the i15 hybrids since I had been playing the Ping Rapture hybrid. But it was clear that the K15/G15 are far more forgiving that the i series hybrid(something I really don't need as a 6 handicap). But they are longer and that is something I need as my swing speed is slowing a little as I get older. I play on hard greens at my CC so i want to hit high longer irons that land soft. I also play in amateur tournaments and the greens tend to be harder. They were both very (and I mean VERY) accurate. Cosmetically, they looked the same. Hard to tell the difference. But I got a higher flight with the K15 and a few more yards. It was also hard to really tell what the technical difference is from the Ping website as they don't currently appear to explain the K15 details as they do with the G15 hybrid. I thought they were just part of the set of K15 irons and not for individual sale. It's not entirely clear from the Ping website but the face may be titanium. The price was the same when I ordered at the pro shop. The Ping reps were more focused on me hitting to find the best club for me rather than explain the details between the two. I thought that was a good way to help. Hit them all first, then talk about them. Those reps get overwhelmed with a lot of 25+ handicap golfers asking them stupid questions anyway. It was unbearable to have the guy next to me talk about his power and high swing speed all while he was putting pop up marks on their new K15 driver. The reps need hazard pay. But they did take the time and they watched my swing and handed me anything that they thought would work. They saw the K15 going higher and longer too and asked me what I needed in my game. They could see I was a decent player at a 5/6 handicap and didn't steer me to any club. Anyhow, the results were different between the two with the identical stock Ping shaft. My advice is to hit them both on a range. I saw the difference, however slight. By comparison with the i15, they are much longer and have a higher flight. But every hybrid model they had hits as straight as an arrow. The i15 is forgiving and actually is more visually appealing, but the K15 was just superior to them and the G15. Looks matter but something as easy to hit as the K15 won the day and the sale.

Great reviews guys.
PhilLefty...my experience with both G and K hybrids are similar to above. The K is a touch larger at the toe and if memory is correct, a slightly longer face.
My biggest surprise was that the K sat flatter (perhaps it was lie adjusted) and it fit my eye at address much better than the upright lie angle on the G.
Shots into the sim were both good but the K15 3 hybrid surprised me with it's toe hit forgiveness, accuracy and distance....very consistant. Hope this helps.

sorry, i meant that theres a notch in the hosel so its much easier to make adjustments to the lie angle than in the G line. i specifically switched to the I line hybrid because i kept pulling everything. honestly, i think it was in my head more than anything, but i hated it. now with the K, you can adjust easily.

I think they will be for individual release in October. Given the similarities in looks and performance it will be interesting to see if Ping market this as an individual option as it appears that the differentiating factors are relatively minor to G15. That said, I am sure they will especially on the back of driver and fw that reports continue to confirm straight ball flight. For me although I havent tried the K15 but love the G15 (and Im at max an 18) I wonder if they can be any better? Please continue the thread to those that have hit both....
