Not sure these make so much sense, especially with all the run out on the greens . Tuck em if you can hold em -that rewards risk taking. This eliminate it all together.

I don't know much about the course so I don't know the elevation changes on 17 but that is the only hole that were going to see people sticking anything close, anything else is going to be a miracle to get the just right amount of roll to the pin, I see someone having a very high number of putts today

It could get ugly if the greens continue to be more and more less receptive as the day goes on. It will be brutal at the least.

The older I get the more I appreciate just how awesome the U.S. Open is. I still will always keep the Masters as my #1 major to watch, but the U.S. Open is getting very close. It is cool to watch these guys get the snot kicked out of them just like we do. These pins today might be unfair, but you what else is unfair?.....that 75% of these guys make over a million dollars a year playing on perfect golf courses each week......everyone here would do it for free, they do it for mega bucks....so I enjoy watching them shoot 80 and having a look on their face like they want to throw a club and scream "F this!!".
