Sunset Beach Custom Putters limited run of 5 each!!

After many conversations on the phone with Chris Jordan and LaMont Mann the great news is here. Lefty's there will be a limited run of 5 Sqaureback style and 5 Fastback style putters offered by Sunset Beach Custom Putters. Same 2 great guys that brought all the beautiful Lux putters. These putters will be fully milled putters. They will be priced at $225 and that will include 50 Stampings, leather AM&E headcover, Iomic grip and a Polymer coating. They will be offered with the choice of 3 different neck styles, plumber's neck, Slant neck, and a short neck for center shafting . With not many lefty offerings out there in the custom putter world these 10 limited putters will not last long.

Chris has told me that the preorders will start next week. Shooting for Monday. I am getting the waiting list ready so Chris can be assured that these 1st 10 will be ordered. This will set the stage for the future of the lefty line. Lefty's out there lets show Chris and Lamont our appreciation for making some lefty putters by placing an order.

Just an update. I have commitment to 3 putters so far. 2 Squarebacks for sure are gone and the other one doesnt mind either or.

I will take a squareback, center shafted if I can get a sight line on the flange of the putter (similar to the Scotty Cameron version)....if so, count me in for a right handed one. 35". Is there any way to get custom weighting or torched finish?

Wow, everyone else ignores lefties completely, I have been doing this for less than two months and I already have a left handed line out and I am being slammed.

Hey Rusty these are not the same putters as the Lux line. These are a limited Milled putter. You have to understand that what it would take to make a Lux line or a putter that would be under $100. The order point whould be 100 putters or more. As a business decision Chris and LaMont thought that the decision to make a smaller amount that they knew would sell would be a smarter business move at this time. They have not ruled out a run of putters under the $100 mark. They want to test the waters. See how the lefty's respond to these 2 models. Also these 2 styles are the hot talked about putter and they wanted to offer something to the lefty's that other custom putter company's might not be. As a lefty and talking to Chris he is a honest person and a very hard working person. He will do the best that he can to offer us a putter similar to the Lux line. All that work is still being done, just takes time. I think we should be happy that he is even offering us lefty's a putter that most of us knew we could not get.

Sounds like Russty needs some WD-40, j/k. Seriously, Chris and Lamont are doing great things for golfers, if you would take some time to ask questions instead of complaining you might learn something. I'm a lefty that had to learn to play golf righty because of the availability of lefty clubs growing up. I can appreciate anyone trying to bring custom work to lefties & righties especially at the Sunset Beach and Lux Putters price point. Be patient, it makes life easier.

Just send Chris an e-mail. I'm sure he would be glad to discuss it with you. I would hate to assume anything about the lefty putters, but dealing with Chris has been a good experience. He is very helpful and will have more business from me in the future.

Always seems to be a charter to come to the defence. I just want to be told to go fly a kite, we are not going to make a sub $100 putter (like the righties get) for a lefty. Here is a $150+ and be happy! Like I said before, you really think that you could not sell 100 custom stamped putters to a 100 lefties if they are under $100? I am not attacking LUX alone on this one, it starts from the cream of the crop putters right down to the bottom for the glass cheapo's.

 

 

In four months we have sold less than 200 LUX righties, and righties make up 90%-95% of the golfing population. We have not sold 100 of either style for the righties yet either. So it stands to reason that with the large difference in amount of golfers, that 100 in a year would be a high quantity to reach for. As small as I am, holding onto inventory for that long is suicide for me. That is basing the fact that they will allow me to only order 100 as 200 is the minimum and I was trying to get them to go down to 100. As you can see there is a lot more to this than meets the eye.

 

Lefties had no options, so I worked with Scott and really busted my hump to get these milled and get a smaller quantity to test the market and give lefties an option they would not otherwise have. I have only been at this for a few months and already I am releasing 2 left handed models, I believe that puts me well ahead of many of the others. Just know I am trying, but I do not have Nike, Taylor Made or anything like that behind me and Lagging inventory could destroy me and I would not be able to continue.
