Noddle N Tour LTD...what are these?

At Sports Authority they have something called a Noodle N Tour LTD ball for $8 a dozen when you buy 2 dozen. Says retail price is $21.99 a dozen, which I doubt but still....$8 a dozen? I know many recommend a lower compression ball for winter golf so I am tempted. Anyone ever try these?

ive actually used them all year last year, regular price is like 10.99 a dozen. i bought 6 boxes since they hit 24 for 16.00$. i bought a dozen last year cause they were cheap and needed some balls for a quick 9 hole with a buddy and actually liked them quite a bit. i seem to compress them just fine. driver distance is great with them, and with the VR wedges ive been using they hold greens just fine. not sure with other wedges though. they are pretty durable with iron play, the VR's tear up pretty much any ball. another reason i opted to using these balls. ive had plenty of range sessions, at least 6 that i can remember where i made sure to hit at least 75 balls with each VR wedge, 52,56,60. 10.00 all you can hit range on mondays . and i played a good 75 rounds this year and they still chew up balls

im not sure if TM makes this brand of noodle, i thought i read that TM makes noodle or at least owns them. but for the price the ball has been great to me. walmart has a few other versions, a red box and green box, green is soft, i think red is distance, the black at SA i think is inbetween. not sure, i played the soft from walmart, those were like 8.99 or something, played pretty simular to me, i didnt notice much difference.

ive hit my longest drive ever with this ball, according to skycaddie, 335 yrds. i will definatly be playing these again this year, especially on unfamilure coarses with lots of water. id i guess im about a 20 capper and still loose quite a few balls, some are only lost because i dont even look for them for fear of holding up the group behind but for less than a dollar a ball i can let a few go

A couple years back, Taylormade Addidas sold the Maxfli name to Dick's. TM Addidas had purchased Maxfli for their seamless ball patents (since they had none themselves).
When they sold the Maxfli name, TM retained rights to the Noodle brand.

The ball you are referring to is OK for winter play, but the Wilson Staff Fifty or Zip would serve you better. (unless your driver swing speed is near 100).

Went ahead and took advantage of the 2 dozen for $16 and played a round today. Not bad at all. Funny thing was I couldn't lose this ball. Give me a $30 a dozen ball and they are gone!

 

Distance was great...albeit in 43 degree weather it was hard to tell. Putting wasn't as soft as the Titleist SoLo is but not bad and I adjusted quickly. I was actually able to spin the ball, no better or worse than to SoLo. When comparing the $19.99 SoLo a dozen to the 2 dozen for $16 deal...no brainier. Going to buy another 4 dozen. Value quotient is great for these balls.

 

I looked and it does say Taylor Made on the box.

 

Funny thing was as I couldn't lose one of these I picked up a ProV1, ProV1x and two Cally balls, Warbird and Hot HX. Go figure. No need to buy ProV1....I have quite a collection.
