Miura 56 K Grind off the fairway?

I've been eyeing the K grinds and joining a club with heavily guarded green with lots of bunkers. I tried out a friends out of sand and liked it a lot. However, I wasn't able to hit it with a 3/4 swing (my full wedge swing) from a fairway.

 

Any feedback on how smooth the club is for this type of situation? The online reviews really focus on sand and rough.

 

I hit my ATV 56º with my 3/4 swing 75 yards on the dot. When I demo'd it off the mats, it was 95 consistently. Plus it had a stiff shaft. I know the head weight was more than my ATV, plus factoring the mats and the shaft, but I wonder how that may translate to fairway conditions.

It has some bounce....great in softer conditions and really good out of the rough and bunkers. When summer weather dries the course out I will switch to a 57C that is bent to 56.

Really depends on where you play and what conditions.

I have one. No problem even in Az summer. The bounce on the 60k got me in trouble but not the 56. It's a different feel, for sure, but it's such a great club. The weight is different but doesn't take long to adjust. There was a post here last year about guys dropping the 60 because the 56k was so versatile. I thought they were nuts. They weren't.

I've used it in UK links conditions in late summer - no issues at all if you play it with your hands ahead of the shaft.
