I remember their first series of 690 were two peice forged and could only be bent -+ 2*, but their dot series could be bent 4....don't know what the deal is, except possibly problems with the new hosel???

I had ordered a set of chrome 735 w/1* upright lie and it arrived with cracked chrome on the hosel part. But Titleist did resolve the situation to my satisfaction.

I'm sure Titleist will come up with a solution before too long on custom specs of chrome 735's that are not at 2 flat/standard/2 upright lies.

I have not heard much about 905C(?) and wondering if anyone know the difference between R & C.

I think he's talking about the 460cc 905 driver that's been called either the R or C... don't believe there are two different 460cc protos out there...

on a different note, how about the F3-05? looked like adam scott was using that during the president's cup... also any firm plans on the new irons? i know everyone keeps saying spring...

EDIT: i should say 455cc... i think i read that in golf world.

Well as far as we have heard they are very likely to bring out another set of drivers one of them a little more forgiving getting the ball airborne quickly like the K ant the T and the other one sporting a little more workability and a lower launch like the E and the S. The R proto is already present in some bags as we all know, and if there is going to be another one it is likely to be the C.

We got February as release date for the 695.series, but this year we had the 735.CM scheduled for release in June.......well europe is likely to get them until middle of October .l.......

F3-05 is said to remain a Tour Prototype as GoloW posted some time ago, but you never know...

I cant see why Titleist would bring a set out with chrome problems... I would think they would do everything in their power to re-work it so that there aren't any problems with the chrome...

The problem was that Titleist likes to apply a very thick layer of chrome which then of course is not as elastic as the thin layer on the Mizunos for example. That is the reason why some titleist irons feel very hard when compared to the sweet feel of a MP33. On the other hand on some low quality ranges with a lot of sand in the turf the Chrome on the Titys would endure while the plating on the Mizunos wears off quite soon, as i have experienced myself.

The 690 series with the DOT were the first iron series with a thinner chrome plating, which from my point of view makes the feel much better. :fool:
