Yamaha RMX MB & CB

Does anyone currently have and play 2014 Yamaha RMX Tourmodel MB (blade) and/or RMX CB?

Both are really beautiful looking irons. I just wanted to get some review on their playability.

Would like to know the feel, forgiveness and or any other input for either of the irons.

Based in what I was able to see, it looks like RMX MB has widers sole than most blade irons I seen out there including Fourteen FH1000. With wider sole, I would assume, they can be more forgiving.

Both the MB and CB are slight larger and forgiving than their counterparts and the 2013 models. If you like to work the ball, you can take a look at the Tour V limited blades from 13.

I've been playing the RMX MB's this year and love 'em. I wouldn't call them forgiving; I'd call them precise, which is what I wanted from them. But they do have relief on both the leading and trailing edges, which makes them very smooth out of all kinds of lies. Deadly accurate, very straight, and long. I went to them from Miura's, and actually enjoy the feel just as much. Great irons.

Bought a set of CB with Modus 120 stiff and had lots of issue with the shafts. Switched to KBS Tour V stiff, loving them ever since. IMO, the leading edge grind/relief is what makes these MB/CB different than other sets. Titleist made Jason Dufner a set of 714 AP2 with leading edge grind and then he won the PGA Champion. Since we can't get tour issue as often and readily as tour players, then this is as good as it gets. You may get Mizuno Yoro Craft with custom grinds but those just look too good to use on the course. CB set has stronger loft from 9 irons on, so they go farther than my old Cobra S3 Pro. It feels soft but not super soft like Miura. If you are a big hitter, CB maybe too long. If you are thinking about combo set, make sure to check the loft, again CB are stronger. MB/CB are forged by Endo in Japan so quality and craftsmanship is excellent.

Bought mine from Rakuten, took a little while to get here but it was worth the wait. Search for different vendors and get the shaft you want. Just make sure to get the right length because JDM irons can be a little shorter than US spec clubs.
