How do you get them? Are there different types of passes?

So I've been going to the masters off and on for 10 years, but I was wondering if there are different types of passes. Specifically, do you need some type of clubhouse pass to sit at the tables with the umbrellas next to the practice putting green and order food etc.? Do all of those people have clubhouse passes? Thanks for any info.

Yes. There are different types of passes/badges. I have been fortunate enoughto twice go on trips with friends who has Clubhouse badges. Some of the badges were labled Trophy Room as well. These, like the name says, gets you in the Trophy room. The Clubhouse badges are the only way inside the ropes to sit and the tables. It is a great feeling to sit at the tables and people watch. Players, players family, press, stars (Chris O'Donell, etc.), hang out under the tree, etc. Clubhouse badges also get you into the clubs regular pro shop. This is a benefit becasue many less people are in there shopping. And there are a few items for sale in there that cannot be purchased in the main tent. Anothe bonus on Clubhouse badges: walking on the driveway side of the clubhouse. you can stand right by the door where the players walk from the range to the locker room. You can easyily approach them for autographs. They are less intimidated as you are standing there by yourself. There aren't tons of people begging for an autograph. You can also walk into all the doors, the front door of the club, walk by the flowers/flag pole you have seen picture of, etc. The best part about the Clubhouse badges is going in the clubhouse itself. You can go almost anywhere once you are inside. You can go up to the balcony, sit in the bar, etc. You cannot go in the players locker room or the Champions locker room. But many players (and past champs) are walking around. Many members in thier green jackets,m etc. It is incredible. The last time I was there was in 2005. I watched Phil put the green jacket on Tiger standing next to Phil's wife and parents on the second floor balcony of the clubhouse. What a special memory.

That's awesome! I went to the practice rounds on Monday and Tuesday this year and noticed that they have different levels of passes to get behind the ropes. They were color coded, but I guess "Clubhouse" is pretty much all access. How did your friends get the clubhouse passes. Suffice it to say, I would do pretty much anything to have drinks on the clubhouse veranda. Thanks for the info.
