tired of hearing about how cold it was at the masters

I get in from the golf course friday afternoon, turn on the tv, and all i hear is that it is so cold in Augusta. I don't know the exact temperature, but it was what, somewhere in the mid 50's?? it's in the mid 50's and the commentators are talking about how differently the golf ball reacts because fo the cold. Well while the pros were basking in the mid 50's heat we were having a college golf tournament in western Illinois, where the temperature was in the mid to low 30's with20-25 mph winds on friday and saturday. I just think that the commentators and players could have found something better to talk about than the weather all day.

Hell yeah man. I just got back from practice and the first thing our coach says is "did you see what Loyola shot at Western Illinois?" It must have been brutal because we've played in a couple tournaments in the past several years where its been in the 30's. Eastern Illinois 3 years ago it was mid 30's gusting nearly 40-45 mph and there were only 4 scores in the 70's. I don't want them saying how cold it is when college golfers like us play when its 20 degrees less in far worse conditions.

Ya it was a little ridicoulous I play in a AJGA in Texas last weekend where it was 35-40 degrees and raining for 2 days. The first actually got canceled due to cold. The officials were worried that a few players were going to get hypothermia.

We were supposed to have a tourney today at Stonewall resort in WV, but we couldn't get out on the course because the greens were froze still. I was there at 8:15 and it was snowing on me at the range. Crazy stuff. They are going to try to make it an 18 hole tourney and play Tuesday , but its supposed to rain/snow tonight and not get above 45. So we will see if we even play.

On Saturday It started to snow durring my round and when I came home they were crying about it being like 13ºC. Give me a break!. I was playing in 0ºC with 20mph winds. I would LOVE to play a round of golf in weather that warm.

I think these are pretty common sentiments. My father-in-law and I were discussing this last night (how we'll go out and play in colder, wetter, and windier conditions then we have to hear pros complain). And golfing in crummy weather is much better than racing road bikes in it, I can tell you that! Having collegiate racing start the last weekend of February in the Midwest SUCKED!!!

In the winter here you would be lucky to get anything above about 2*C. Ive played in -2,-4 and in absolutely howling winds
