Indian Ridge

Just started working at Raytheon in Andover and was looking for a course nearby. I was aware of Indian Ridge but always assumed it was too expensive. I'm currently 32 and they have a pretty good deal for members under 36.

Curious if anyone has played there and/or are members. Looking to see what the course is like, how the facilities are, and what the membership is like.

I'm looking for a solid course and facility with good, down to earth people.

I appreciate any insight you folks have.

I have not played there but 2 of my buddies have alot. What I am told, GREAT course, excellent conditions and a VERY active membership. The Demoulas Family (Market Basket) owns the course as well as Hopkington CC.

I was supposed to play last week but the weather as an issue.

I've played it a couple times. The course is pretty good and conditions are always good. I haven't used it but I've heard that the range is short and therefore irons only. The membership is very active as I've heard if you play Saturday, you can't play Sunday and vice versa. That may have changed...

If you don't mind a drive north up I495 then Haverhill CC is offering a great membership drive deal now. I know a few members at IR and have played it a lot. While I I think IR is a solid course I think Haverhill is better and it has a half -decent range. Of course IR is about as convenient as you can get to where you work.. Andover CC is just a mile or so down the round from Indian Ridge. Not sure what the deal is there these days.

I'm also curious if anyone else has any insight on the club and members? I've walked the course and looks pretty fun to play, especially 9&18. How are the members there? Looking at the young adult option - looks pretty good. Not a huge fan of monthly mins in the dining room but I guess that helps promote the social aspect. Any ideas on tee time availability? I've read it's a "very active" membership base but can anyone add to that? Thanks a bunch to all.
