They look like the mid-60s editions, rather than the stainless steel numbers made famous by Johnny Miller...

These are indeed the version from PGA Golf Company, who had the rights to the Tommy Armour name, and not the 1949 MacGregor Tommy Armour 915 Stainless.

PGA actually made a LH Tommy Armour iron model, but like some manufacturers, these fell short in the translation from their RH model.


Nothing a 21st Century 3D program couldn't fix...

No, not the PGA version. The script is different and the blade length is smaller. I've had two sets of both.

Just bumping this one. Does anyone have a set of these? The mid-60s Mac TAs, that is. The set for sale here is only 3,4,8,9 and wedge and the chances of being able to fill out the set from here (New Zealand) are virtually nil so I'd only want to grab them if they're worth grabbing...
