Is there anyone that can provide me with what the standard measurements are from the tip of the shaft to the the first step of the shaft and which measurements correlate to each specific iron. I bought a set of pulls the other day and would like to be sure each shaft is going in the proper club head and that there hasn't been any previous soft stepping or hard stepping. Thanks

With stiff you can add 27.5 to the tip measurement to get the raw length.

They are stiff. So you're saying adding 27.5 to what the measurement is from the tip to the beginning of the first step will give me the raw standard length that correlates with the chart Nippon provides about the standard length of each iron?

Yes 9 inch first step is raw length 36.5 etc

 

38.5 is three iron shaft 36.5 is 7 iron etc etc

It is an inch and half less not more.

 

So 9 inch first step would be 35 .

Right on thanks for the tip! Just out of curiosity how did you learn that adding 27.5 to the first step measurement will give the raw length? I did quite a bit of searching trying to find what the first step measurements should be for each iron and was unsuccessful in finding anything.

Just by measureing existing shafts.

 

The shafts have the raw length stencelled on the shaft and ususally remains in place at standard length.

 

I love the shafts and play them soft stepped twice with 20g butt weights.

Gotcha. Yeah I've yet to actually even demo them or anything. I'll be putting them in my rocketbladez tour heads that I currently have c-tapers in and it's just way to stout of a shaft for me. I get such a super low trajectory with them. I know the 950gh is basically the opposite end of the spectrum and create a high trajectory and have a much softer feel which is what I'm looking for and I got s super cheap deal on the pulls I bought so it's definitely worth giving them a try. By the way where can you purchase butt weights? I always grew up playing heavier shafts and feel like butt weights could possibly benefit me as well. I feel like I must have a super quick tempo because with lighter shafts I find myself having to try really hard to try and use a slower tempo to hit quality shots. I like get off plane or something using my normal quick tempo I've always grown up playing with.

They really make a difference.it slows down the transition .from backswing to downswing

Yeah I'll have to keep those places in mind. I'm gonna use mine on the range and play a few rounds with them first. Other than giving a little extra weight do they effect how the shafts plat what so ever? Do they still have the proper balance and everything like that?

Just to follow up with you. I got my pulls today and the only measurement that makes sense is adding 26.5 to the first tip measurement not 27.5 and then you also said you got it switched up and that it's a inch and a half less but that's not correct either lol. It should just be an inch less. For stiff add 26.5 If anyone else could follow up with this and confirm I'm correct it'd be much appreciated. Thanks

These are for raw lemgth shafts not pulls which would have been butt trimmed.

6 - 10.5 in.

7 - 10 in.

Pw - 8.5 in.

They have been soft stepped twice so you can use as is or extend an inch using normal steel extenders.they will not have been tip trimmed at least if they still fit in the hozels

Sorry having trouble with my phone.

 

They have been soft stepped twice.which meams they will play to firm flex in nippon terms but more like a tt regular flex.

You can extend them half or one inch using normal steel or aliminium shaft extenders.

If that is the case I would actually be happy with that because I fall in between stiff and regular. But how can I know for sure that they were soft stepped twice and that they weren't tipped an inch?

These shafts have a very small parralel section and if tipped wont fit into the hozel.
