I joined the boards a couple weeks ago, and have made a few posts, but thought that I would introduce myself a little better.

 

I'm 23 and live in NY, about 90 miles south of Syracuse, near the PA border. Golf is definetly season here, but I play as much as I can when work and personal stuff allows. I've been golfing since I was 16, but never played it as a main sport or took it too seriously until last season. In March 2006 I took a job near where I grew up, which is flooded with golf courses. Some friends and I all joined the local country club and have played at least 2-3 times a week when the weather permits. Prior to that, I only averaged about 5-10 rounds per season, sometimes less (didn't play much during college). I've gotten a lot more serious about golf in the last couple years and have gotten my handicap index down to 16.6. I play with two guys that are around 4-8 handicaps, so I have a ways to go. I've revamped most of my bag this year.

 

My bag includes:

 

Driver: TaylorMade R580 10.5* (looking to replace this soon)

3 Wood: King Cobra F Speed 13*

5 Wood: King Cobra F Speed 18*

Hybrid: Cleveland HALO 25*

Irons: Ping G5 4I-PW, SW (black dot, standard length, weight added to head and handle)

Putter: Ping G5I Anser

Ball: Callaway HX Hot

 

 

 

Anyway, I've really enjoyed the site so far. Thanks to those who keep it running so smoothly and keep it friendly.

This is a great site and there are a lot of very knowledgeable members here. Glad to see another Ping guy too.
