Awesome Tourney in SoCal for a Great Cause!

Hey WRX Crew,

If you’re in SoCal and will be around on Saturday, July 16th, I’ve got a great scramble tournament, raising money for a fantastic cause...see, this past September, one of my close friends, and golfing partner, Brett Tashman, passed away from a rare form of cancer called Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT). He was 33. DSRCT is so rare, there’s not much research surrounding it, however, that is changing. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is one of the world’s leading cancer centers, and is experimenting with some cutting-edge technology, that will hopefully lead to a cure in our lifetime.

There was never any “why me” sentiment from Brett. Even when odds were against him, he maintained optimism that was truly heroic. To celebrate that spirit, and raise funds for MD Anderson, I, along with some of Brett’s close friends, are hosting a scramble tournament at Sierra Lakes Golf Club in Southern California. It’s a great course, and as a fellow WRX’er (ME!) is facilitating, I promise it will be a good time...and the closest to pin prizes won't suck :lol:
