Modern shaft comparable to an original Grafalloy ProLaunch Red

Wondering if anyone can help with this question in the Topic Title?

 

For those of you who haven't played it, here are some specs...

 

Bend Point - High

 

Torque - 3.0

 

Weight - 65 g

 

Stiff Tip

 

To me it has a pretty firm feel and has a very tight dispersion!

The original can still be found plus there is two current versions of the Prolaunch Red available, the supercharged version is slightly counterbalanced to allow longer playing length or a heavier driver head. It is slightly more a 'low launch' profile than the standard Prolaunch Red.

 

The Aldila Rogue Silver is a similar profile to the Prolaunch Red Supercharged.

Is the new prelaunch red any good? Or the supercharged? I do like the Rogue Silver also.

What flex were you in with the PL Red?

 

Our new PL Red (not the Supercharged) is the same structure with a new cosmetic.

 

In the HZRDUS line the Black would be your best bet.

 

The other shaft mentioned above has similar static specs but it is a straight taper EI profile. Nothing wrong with that (HZRDUS Yellow is a straight taper) but it will have a different feel and loading profile then PL Red.

It would be nice if you would elaborate on the bend profile differences between the Project X Yellow, Prolaunch Red and Prolaunch Red Supercharged. The Cool Clubs S3 software shows the Project X Yellow to have a strong butt and tip and a soft middle.

 

Here is the free data from the app comparing the 3 shafts (plus the Rouge Silver) all in R / 5.5 flex at 60/ 65 grams.
