Just thought I'd post some pics of a set I just picked up from a local goodwill. 1975 Wilson Custom Laura Baugh 3-9 Irons (missing pitching wedge). Still have a few coats of polish to do and some face work.

Would love to see pics of clubs you guys have cleaned up!

They certainly have come up a treat, very nice work

No pics but recently picked up a wilson fat shaft staff bag

Pretty filthy and stained but in good condition physically

So for $6 not bad

Club storage as i put 3 sets in each bag

Brought it home washed in the bathtub

Dried for a couple days

Smelled nice but the water had "stained" pretty extensively in areas causing

a severe sun faded appearance

Eh

Anyway

Having done so previously while cleaning up a horrible green/white Mac staff bag that turned out sweet

Thought id try the acetone trick on this one

Holy crap

It cleaned off the old grease stains embedded in but that didnt surprise me

It restored the color and the sheen and even that grippy feel of the leather

Showroom levels

Red, white and black panels

The headcover had been tucked away so had a great comparison

Its fantastic looking

Such a shocking transformation

The worse off Mac bag cleaned right up but these wilsons are punchier in design

Ive passed on other filthy bags

Probably not any more

Thanks for the responses! I'm hoping to find a deal on an old leather bag. Would love to try and "bring one back to life"

Fine efforts. Love that they are stamped "salvage custom". A resurrection that's worth sharing.

One of the Wilson warehouses was the victim of a flood in the late 1970s and that which was able to be sold was stamped "salvage." Everything I ever saw with that stamp was store line product. I bought a Triple Duty wedge stamped "salvage" that was very nice.

Great to know! Was curious why it was there. Good to know there's some interesting history behind them.

Shallow-

Do you still have the Wilson Triple Duty Wedge with the "Salvage" stamp?

Sadly, no. I don't remember what I did with it or why, but I no longer have it.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
