Tour Championship Saturday

I went out to East Lake today to my first event in years. Got to the range this morning around 9:15 and just wanted to share a little of what I saw.

 

Saw Adam Scott hit a lot of balls and on his Driver and 3-wood, his ball flight was a lot lower than most of the other guys. Looked like he was just trying to put a good move on it, so that may have been why, just caught my attention. Looked like he was using the 983 E again.

 

Sergio went way over on the front left side of the range, about 15 yards in front of everyone. Hit some wedges and short shots. Then he hit a couple different mid-irons out of the rough in front of the tee box on the severe downhill lie.

 

Tiger was seriously working on something while warming up. He started hitting some short irons and was spraying it everywhere. He went back to hitting some short pitch shots, i guess to try to get some rhythm. The whole time he was doing something odd on his follow thru. After he'd swing, he would straighten his right arm and almost point the club to the sky and look at it. Must have been the paisley shirt that had him out of whack

 

Everything Luke Donald hit sounded really, really flush.

 

As i mentioned in another post Padraig Harrington hit probably at least 25 drives, going back and forth between an r7 and some sort of Wilson.

 

Watched Adam Scott and Lucas Glover hit their approaches on 17 and then their tee shots on 18. Scott hit one on 17 that landed about 10 feet short and right of the hole and trickled down to about 1 foot. Glover looked like he was highly upset on 18 tee. Promptly gets up there, hits it toward the right bunker, and by the time the ball hits the ground he's already at the bottom of the tee box.

 

Hope I didn't bore you too much, just wanted to share some of what I saw.

Cool ... I was there Sat Morning Also ... Did you see Butch clowing Adam about those pants ... He called Lucas Glover over and joked Adam a little ...

 

Tiger was working closely on Form ... Take Away, Follow-Thru, Finish ... It was awkward to see him pointing to the sky with his club ...

 

I like the last motion where he:

(1) Held the club high (point straight up)

(2) Dropped it to shoulder length

(3) Pointed it back toward the target
