Robson Ranch for retirement

Anyone know about Robson Ranch north of Tucson, I have seen several communities and trying to get short list to visit on next trip out. I prefer multiple courses, but of course golfing population and course quality matters. (Moderate price range). Thanks

It's really below average....and the other courses around are not much better. I personally would never suggest it to someone who is a 'hardcore' golfer. It's ok for the person that just wants golf as an extra option.

 

There are many other options. Heck...down in south Chandler you could stay in the Sun Lakes area and would have plenty of options. Then of course Surprise and Goodyear are the other big ones that are much better than Robson.

 

Plus Casa Grande is yucky...

Thanks, obviously looking to live, golf and retire in same area. The wife also plays well and often. Sun City West had older homes and ok golf courses. What about Sun City Grand with 4 courses? We’ve never been there. Is Sun Lakes is close to Ocotillo? There are so many retirement community’s but we’ve mainly had golf vacations Tucson /Phoenix summer and winter. It helps to have a little guidance from locals before we schedule a trip to look, not golf just look.

SCW and SCG are pretty similar.

 

Yes, Sun lakes is down here near Ocotillo. You also have Whirlwind, Lone Tree and a few others.
