Design for ultimate shot making, The New Colonial Forged Wedges have been designed with the help from some of today's top players on the PGA Tour. These wedges feature many of the common elements found in many tour players wedges:

* Precision Forged 1020 Carbon steel for incredible soft feel

* Increased offset for optimum trajectory control.

* Maximum allowable USGA groove width.

* Satin Chrome finish for reduced glare and long lasting beuty.

* Trailing edge and heel grinds preferred by tour players.

* Provides great playability from all types of turf, sand, and soil.

Great wedges, carry 52, 56, and 60. Offset will yield lower flight which I like living in Texas. Different bounce and loft choices promote great playability, allowing you to hit all types of shots. Good from bunkers; forged for better players. Spin as much as your want, wear well over time, and nice setup at address. Nothing but positive remarks.

One word of caution, these wedges are very easy to thin.

switched from the vokey oil can to these, rarely carry the 60 anymore, stayed with the oil can, but carry the 52 8* and 56 10*. with a vokey custom grind 48* PW. Think the feel and distance control is much better with the hogans. and the thinner sole and offset make them far more vercitle than the vokey. Eventually will swith the lob, sentimental attachment is whats keeping me in the vokey. Plus, whoever said they wear well is dead on. I play quite a bit, and would need two sets of vokeys to get through a season and found that the grooves were especially vulnerable to debrie, belong to a links club were the roughs are hard and uneven because of the lower rumble, vokeys got killed. So far, the colonials are amazing. The plates have some chips, about 35 rounds in, but the grooves are incredibly stable and are very easy to see and clean. Great workablility. Only 2 negatives. If you play on a lush and soft course or perform better with higher bounce because of a steep swing, just walk away. Club is extremely thin soled and I hit the occasional phat wedge, probobly 4 times more than I do with the thicker soled vokey. Second, sweet spot is very small, half the size of a vokey, and the clubs force you to work out of the rough, will not glide through rough or sand without your help will just catch. So slower swingers will find these ripe out of the fairway and sour out of the rough. However, with excellent feel (stock grips are interesting, sinced changed to multicompound, great wedge grip by the way, and the swingweight (D5 i think) is just right for this wedged), and top level balance, once you get a feel for this wedge, hitting out of the rough is 2X as good as a vokey. Find vokeys produce less spin out of the rough and hit more fliers, by the way the colonial has the best distance control out of any wedge ive played thin is generally a solid play with this wedge as its normally just lower but not 10 yards farther. Anyway, played titleist clubs since I was 12 and I'm now 23, found anytime I bought clubs other than titleist, besides this generations drivers (played the ignite 460 and R7 Tp fairway, over the recent 905 904 series) I was always disappointed, to this day these are the only iron/wedges other than titleists that have lasted more than 5 rounds in my bag. Anyway, I bought a second set of colonials for when these wear, thats how good I think this club is. Kudos to callaway and hogan for making what I think is the best players wedge I've ever hit, and Im as particular as a person gets. 10/10 top notch wedge
