Private golf options Northeast of Atlanta - Suwanee/Buford/Braselton areas.

I've read most of the Atlanta private club threads on WRX but from what I've seen most discuss clubs that are closer in to the city or heading north on 75.

 

I was wondering if anyone had information about options that would range from about Suwanee going north toward about Buford and then east toward Braselton. Possibly the north side of Duluth for a club would work as well.

 

Most important to me would be a place where I can find a regular game with some better payers. Would like a course with a good layout that offers good conditions/quicker greens. I'm not as concerned about other amenities and top-notch practice facilities. It's really about the golf for me.

 

Ideally, from a budget standpoint I'd like to stay around $10,000 or so for an initiation fee and keep monthly dues in the $500 range. Could go a bit higher for the right situation, however.

 

Anyway, I don't know much at all about that area, but the golf situation would likely play in a role in where we would choose to live if my wife and I relocate, which is a strong possibility, but we would be looking at living in the areas mentioned a bit farther from the city.

Not many options for what u are looking for unless you want to consider semi-private.  The monthly dues aren't the problem, its the initiation.  Most are $50k+ right now.  TPC Sugarloaf - Chateau Legends 

 

Hamilton Mill is cost effective, but lots of members so slow rounds.

 

 

 

 

I play at Berkeley Hills CC on the Southside of Duluth.

 

Current Initiation is $10k for full members and dues are sub $500.

 

 

Lots of good players and can get a game pretty much anytime of day.

 

No frills amenities.  Everyone is there to play golf.

 

 

However, greens are being replaced next summer meaning we'll have temporary greens for 3-4 months during peak season next year.  Sucks, but entire membership is super excited about it.

A friend of mine used to live and play at Reunion. Is it still decent? I always enjoyed a round there.
