How do you "unstall" the hips???

looks like my hips come to a dead stop....

In another post of my swing, I got the feedback that my hips stall to allow my arms to catch up..

I can clearly see my hip rotation slowing...or stopping...in this swing..

Any drills to help keep them moving to impact??

you can't stop it if it's REQUIRED to square up the face.......it's a BIG part of your swing.......I'm too tired right now to take a look, but, I will.......but ANYTIME a good player like yourself "stalls" there is a good reason and it's ALWAYS due to it being ESSENTIAL to square up the face as that's all that really matters if you want to advance it in the general direction of the target.......:drinks:

 

Hell, there isn't any stall in those "hips".......the lower core SHOULD slow down and the upper core OVERtakes it.......that's the only way things can occur as the lower core is wound up around TWO points while the upper core is wound up around ONE.........that swing is just a tad "underneath and down the line".......but, that's a darn fine golf swing that just needs "tweaking" more than anything........ :beach: (I couldn't stand it and had to go take a look before hittin' tha' hay......hehehehe)

ok when you are coming in to impact you are stopping and then sliding to make room to hit the ball your left foot sprays out after you hit the ball

the dip you make with your right side before and into impact is your move to keep the clubface square and you probably do it quite well

if you make changes to a more rotational pivot you would need a more "open" clubface in your golf swing but this is a totally different way to what you do

watched your other video and definite shut clubface makes you lose your spine angle and hang back to keep that clubface from shutting through impact so you match up your body movements to your clubface

Mizuno is EXACTLY right.........if the clubface is closed you CANNOT "go left," at least to the extent of a Hogan and my best students.......you can create the same basic "release" in that no hands are involved, but, it will be a bit more "up" through impact rather and that normally means you "teeter totter" (think Duval in his prime) OR do what I use to do and work from "underneath" too much.........NO big deal to fix...... :drinks: You wanna' FEEL the difference then do the "open face drill".........you'll feel it almost instantly as from a VERY OPEN face you have NO choice but to throw the club like all hell from the top OR REALLY, REALLY "rotate left"........you get good at the "open face drill" and film it and you'll look virtually identical to Mr. Hogan.......NOW, with that being stated, you do NOT have to go as "FAR left" as Mr. Hogan did to create the "essence" of his "impact zone" and that's what I teach as my "ideal swing"........but, IF you want to COPY him you would have to do EXACTLY what occurs within' the IMPACT ZONE during the "open face drill" which means you'd have to ingrain a very weak grip (NOT necessary) and lay the club off quite a bit and both are NOT necessary to accomplish "control over the golf balll".......btw, I've hit DRAWS doing the "open face drill"...... :beach:
