Good deal on Yes! Tour putter?

Looking to buy this YES putter as I love the tour model and they are hard to find. I have no idea on price though.

 

Buyer is asking $100, is that reasonable? The top line is a little beat up but the face is in nice condition and rolls fine

All comes down to what you are willing to play. They obviously aren’t being made anymore, but aren’t a highly valued brand for resale, regardless of model. 
 

only way you are getting new yes groves is to get one of the Betti Fitz models and that’s a different neck than what you’re looking at here and a whole lot more $$$

 I have a couple of Yes putters - an Abbie and a Valerie.  The Abbie is a carbon steel milled putter and the Valerie is stainless steel and has some milling.  Originally back in 2007 these sold for £250 and £180 so not chep for 2007.  BUT not all YES putters were born equal - some are cast and were very inexpensive and some were pretty much the same price as Scotty's,  So you have to weigh what sort of putter you are buying with what's the asking price. 

 

The Abbie's sell for between £80 and £120 depending on condition and I just picked up the Valerie for £35 although it did need a new grip - so at say £50 that's about right for that model.  

 

The good YES putters are very good and back in the day a lot of pros used those top end putters like the Abbie.  But, like Odyssey and PING, YES have loads of inexpensive putters out there that should be found for £20-30 like you can find PINGs.  The DAWN is a milled stainless spec which is why it can look beat up without showing signs of rust like an Abbie does.  I'd put this in the same category as the Abbie - although stainless not so collectable - as these sold for $299 originally - and although this one looks a bit shabby - being stainless you can take a file, some sandpaper, and wire wool to it and it it will clean up great - and never rust - and can always be cleaned up again.  Target price as it's stainless $60-100.  This looks like it's been living outside it's headcover for a season or two - so offer $70-80.    Happy hunting
