Odyssey 11 stock backweight

I've been using an Odyssey 11S Tour Lined for a couple of months. I really like it. Seems to swing itself practically. 

 

The stock grip was too skinny and the only one I had at the house to try was a gigantic Winn 1.65. Installed it on day 1. It was okay, but I started practicing in the basement with my old putter and fell back in love with the SS Pistol GT 2.0 on it.

 

Yesterday I swapped out the Winn grip for a brand new Pistol to match my other putter. During the swap I noticed two things that might help someone else: 
 

• I hadn't noticed the factory backweight when I did the initial regrip. There's a brass plug with rubber o-rings in the butt end of the shaft. I didn't measure it but it feels like it's probably in the range of 25-30 grams. It was easy to pull it out (which I did because I'm using a heavier CounterCore weight with my SuperStroke). So fact one is that this line is backweighted from the factory. 
   
• I got pretty aggressive with my box cutter while removing the Winn grip, which damaged the red coating on the upper part of the shaft. D'oh! Most of the cutting is under the grip but I did accidentally put a small scratch that shows below the new grip. I know this doesn't impact performance but anyone who likes to keep their gear in pristine condition will want to be extra careful when regripping these putters.
