Successor to the ultra slim 1.0?

Hi folks. Hope you’re all fine and dandy this weekend. So I’m due a putter re-grip and want to stick with what I’ve got, a super-stroke ultra slim 1.0. Of course that was 8 or so years ago now and it’s all new models nowadays, traxions, GTs, pistols, and claws 🤷‍♂️, none of which I can touch at my local golf stores as they all come in sealed plastic tubes 🙄. What’s the closest in terms of feel, profile (non taper, round with only the front of the grip flat) and weight (65g)? Or if not close enough then do I need to track one down on the auction sites? Also, are there any other grip companies providing something similar? TIA and have a great weekend 🍺😄👍

The Tour 1.0 is what you're looking for. There have been a few different versions the last several years with Traxion and now Zenergy which have different textures but should still be the same shape.

Yep. And surprisingly - not that anyone asked - the Tour 1.0 is quite a bit smaller than the 1.0pt in terms of the butt-end of the grip (Golfworks does a good job showing SuperStroke specs/dims from the butt-end)

Isn’t that bc the pt has the pistol shape?

Yes (but it’s also not like they can’t make a smaller pistol shape). However, SuperStroke is unclear with their specs on their website; it says the 1.0pt has a diameter of .99”, and the tour 1.0 has 1.0”.  But they don’t state where they’re measuring - obviously not the butt end as i’ve learned (and what good is diameter measurement alone unless we’re talking about a perfect circle). So the 1.0pt was much bigger than I expected when I received mine

 

I’ve also heard it being compared to pp58 (standard) in terms of size, which isn’t true. It’s still a relatively midsized (or on the larger end of standard sized) pistol grip in terms of the width x height being circular/oval shaped
