Are the original Ping dalehead putters in original condition worth anything?  Thanks for the answers

Yes. There are multiple iterations of the original Anser, each with different text sizes/locations in the cavity -- almost all of them are worth $800+ depending on condition and state of the patina.

FireRockAndy, you are in Scottsdale, AZ, so you may know Ping values better than I. However it has been some time since the peak values for vintage Ping Ansers. In my opinion (real) Daleheads have declined in value for over a decade.

I have a what is considered a late 1960's Dalehead. A KARSTEN MFG. CORP., release before October of 1970 because they have no Trade Marks stamped on any of the bumpers and no Made In USA above the cavity.

It has a nice and dark patina, 3/4 of a Heel-Toe Balanced shaft label, is 35.5" long and Pro Only grip.

I seem to remember selling an even rarer Dalehead a KARSTEN CO., all things being equal to my current MFG. CORP. for somewhere between $335.00 & $350.00 on eBay about seven years ago.

I would be thrilled to receive $335.00 for my current Dalehead today, but I don't think that is todays value range.

1960s Ansers with Scottsdale zips / stampings in the cavity are worth good money assuming they are in good condition (important not to have a sight line cut into them, or heavy dings, and the original shaftband and grip is also very helpful for value).  Phoenix Dalehead shapes with sloped bumpers such as the Karsten CO (which is exactly the same casting mold as the Scottsdale ones) and the 85029 with sloped bumpers are lovely putters but only tend to fetch $100-150 these days.

I was referring to the original Scottsdale Ansers -- versions 1-6. I agree the values have been dropping as of late and I'm always on the lookout for a good deal on a 1966 Anser, in any version. 🙂

I agree with this. I regularly see Karsten CO and Karsten MFG CORP Daleheads in pretty good shape for ~$150-250 depending on condition. I also paid somewhere in that range for both of mine.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
