Where to look when swinging

I know there's threads on this before, but wanted to post the video as I thought it was interesting. Anyone tried something similar to this? Where do most people and/or high level players look?

I’ve always heard you’re supposed to look in front of the ball for iron shots. Would love if a low handicap chimed in on this!

I actually started doing this the other day with irons. Looking about 2” in front of the ball has improved my contact tons. 
 

I have issues with EE and what I am finding is that when I focus on getting my pelvic center in front of my focal point, two inches in front of ball, by shifting my pelvic center forward, from behind me (target is 12oock, shifting forward and back to about 10:30) then EE goes away and I have some of the purist strikes ever. I am also committing to swinging at my focal point in front of the ball. 
 

Too soon to say if this is a bandaid fix or not but for now, it seems to be working.

Also, when I take practice swings, I have always focused on sweeping the grass near my front foot but this drill/technique has made me realize that as soon as a ball is there I have completely changed my intent on where my swing arc should be. I am almost disgusted that I wasted so many years by not recognizing this before!
