No turn cast problems

Saw Montes original no turn cast video at the start of the season and tried implementing it and immediately saw improvement in my ballstriking. My only swing thought at the time was to set the wrists and cast them as hard as possible and i felt like i was making alot more decent shots. I then bought the video from his website and dove deeper into it and feel my ballstriking has regressed as i am hitting it alot more fat with deep divots and fairly low ball flight. I tried to focus on cast A and specifically shallowing the club and once in a while I will hit a very nice shot but feel I am very prone to low flying shots and push cuts/slices. I know it will take a long time to make adjustments in my swing but was wondering if anybody had the same problems as me?

I've had a similar drop off the past month.  Purchased the NTC video in late May, spent a couple weeks practicing the drills without a ball, then had a couple range sessions focused solely on the no-turn and cast A drills.  Took that to the course in mid June, using the no-turn drill (literally stopping my backswing to check positions) and shot three straight rounds in the low 80s (pretty good for my game).  I could draw or fade at will, ball flight was long and high, swing was shallower than ever, golf was fun again!  Two months later the honeymoon is over, and I'm recognizing it will take a lot of reps to reprogram 20 years of bad habits.  I feel fortunate to have seen some immediate significant results, so I believe there's a lot of value in Monte's ideas and that will keep me motivated to keep working on them.  I'm hoping to have some measurable improvement in handicap by next summer, with hopefully some sign of better consistency by late Nov when my season ends.

NTC continues to revolutionize my game.  It just really worked for me and I've been able to execute it reliably.  But, as I found out, it wasn't the entire equation.  Early extension issues and left tilt were very important parts of the equation.  At times I felt like I had the NTC parts down and something wasn't right.  Those other parts had to be in form as well.

Make sure your hands are far enough behind you prior to pressure shift and cast.  Don't cheat.  Watch the overhead videos of Monte that act as "bumpers" or segues between video segments to see where his hands are.  Also, cast in the prescribed direction from the correct position of the hands.   Relaxing your trail wrist will allow it to bend back and you can feel the clubhead lagging the hands and arms in the downswing.

NTC saved my game. Came back from shoulder surgery and subsequent recovery to a horrific slice with my irons, which I had never had before. I was so frustrated, I was ready to quit the game. NTC helped me fix what was probably an over the top issue, but there were also some more subtle changes required. One was a stronger grip. The other was a focus on wrist hinge, some of which is touched on in the NTC lessons. I found that I really need to load up my lead wrist, bending it in more than hinging up. Slice turned into a pull, which I have now turned into a nice draw by slightly weakening my grip, as I had over corrected. Still a work in progress, but I’m enjoying the game. HC has dropped from 20 to 14 since NTC and is still moving in the right direction.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
