Short Game Chef (Reviews/Feedback)

Anyone a member of Short Game Chef's website? I really like his videos but I am wondering how well the instruction works because it's all online and it's hard to assess lies virtually. How do his videos translate to on the course for members?

$470/yr which is also about 3 lessons with a local pro. Let's think about all I want to cover: stock chip shot, stock pitch shot, chip shot out of a bad lie, pitch shot out of a bad lie, high and soft greenside pitch, bunker shot out of fluffy sand, bunker shot out of hard/little sand, uphill chip or pitch, downhill chip or pitch, assessing your lie, etc. I feel like you need more than 3 lessons worth to cover all that. So I am just trying to get some reviews or feedback from members whether they think online instruction was worth it with SGC.

Think you could easily cover that in 3 lessons with someone and doing so in person would be way better than virtually for some of the reasons you noted. 
 

Having someone to actually watch you hit balls and give feedback in person is much more valuable than virtually and who can give you feels that work for you, rather than cookie cutter stuff which is sent to everyone. 
 

if it was 1-200 maybe? Almost 500 is way too steep for that imo.

I did a month for $47. Some good stuff in there. There's also a discord where you can post your swing and he'll take a look and give advice. Try it for a month and see if its right for you. I was happy paying a month and checking it out.

Thanks! Is there a reason why you didn't continue after a month?

Once you watch the videos theres not a whole lot of reason to stick around. Mainly joined to watch the conversations with Keith Mitchell and a couple other pros. I'd say its worth a month, but not a year.

I signed up for a month this past Spring.  I watched all the content I wanted to in that first month but cancelled after that because there wasn’t any new content to watch. I wonder what I may have missed in the past 8 months or so, but paying the monthly fee just waiting for more content to come out can get pricey. 
 

That said, I think the content I watched is great, and the method definitely works. It’s helped me a lot chipping off of tight grainy Florida lies, so I would encourage others to sign up.  The videos are super detailed, so it translates well to being taught online and I felt like I knew exactly what I was supposed to be doing.  I also felt like there is enough detail given that I know what’s right, what’s not, and what drills help me.
