Iron shaft most similar to Tour AD VF

Been having some issues with my irons for awhile now. Was in the modus 105 but want something new. What iron shaft do you think would play most similar to the VF profile? I’ve been hitting that very well and everything just seems to match up with the load.

Looking for something under 120 grams as well. Need help!

What issues are you having with your irons? Modus 105 are a pretty similar profile in terms of iron shafts. If they're too light then you could go up to Modus 115.

I get the lefts sometimes. I’ve had them off and on for 5+ years. Really just looking for something similar feeling but a little more stable. Just don’t want a boardy feeling shaft. Sometimes the handle in the modus feels a little soft.

How far off would the dg mid be? I’ve hit those a few times and liked the feel.

Are you in Modus 105 Stiff? X would be a good option. MMT 105 Stiff also if you want graphite. I'm not sure about DG Mid but I think it has a different profile.

Yes, modus 105x. Still looking to keep smooth feel but just something a little more stable

MMT 105 TX would be a good option. Maybe DG 120 X100. Otherwise a fitting would be best because you might find you like some other profiles.

On paper the DG120 X100 soft stepped once would be where I would start. The original X100 is a very close match it's just a bit stiffer across the board and heavier than you want, which also means that the flighted AMT White X100 set might also be a great match.

Appreciate the help. If I did go up in weight, how would the $taper in an S+ compare?

I tried the mmt 105s as the tax seemed firm but didn’t get along with it sadly.

The $-taper is a different profile curve overall, stiffer in the mid section and softer in the tip.

Personally i'm not a *huge* fan of using graphite wood shafts profiles as a predictor of steel shaft preferences. It's far more likely you're reacting to weight and overall stiffness and that all you need is something a little heavier/stiffer without much consideration for profile. The Modus 105x is light and fairly soft as X-flexes go, because steel needs weight for stiffness so a 105g steel shaft can never be as stiff as a 130g one. Graphite can achieve a much wider range of stiffness at the same weight.
