Spider Tour X L-Neck First Impressions

Got my Spider Tour X L-Neck in the mail today and rolled it side by side with a small slant Tour X and small slant Tour. I can see myself getting used to the visual/alignment but the head did feel noticeably lighter to me.

Anyone else purchase/use one yet? Would love to hear some feedback from others

Got a Tour X L neck as well, my usual gamer is the tour X slant neck. Weight wise they feel the same to me, I have Lamkin deep etched cord grip on both putters. I putted around the same with both putters. I visually like how the slant neck sits for me compared to the L-neck so I am sticking with the slant neck.

I got a myspider tour x L neck and had it in the bag a couple of months. Same deep etched grip as my Scotty. Best mallet I’ve had and rolling in more birdie putts but the feel putts aren’t as good as the blade and overall I’m taking more putts per round. So the blades going back in for a few weeks to see if there’s an overall improvement.

got one as well. built to to scottie's specs except I went 36 inches, instead of 35'5 as my arms are slightly shorter than his. exact same grip and all, have been rolling it pretty good. past two rounds ive burned edges and made more 20-40 footers than i can count. IDK if its the mojo of having an exact scottie replica or what but its been doing very well for me and took my spider tour red out the bag ive had for two years. the stock weights in it for me were 4 grams each, i changed them to 2 gram weights

Just got one myself. Did any of you notice that when looking down at address that the top part of the shaft (12:00) and the top of the plumbers neck hosel isn't parallel with the black sight line?

Can’t say I’ve noticed I just line up with the sight line and it seems to go where I’ve aimed.

Played 18 with it today. Switched the grip out to a SS Pistol 2.0 which weighs about 30g less than the stock 1.0. Thought maybe the lighter grip would make the head feel a bit heavier but it still wasn’t enough. Kept leaving everything short and just couldn’t feel where the head was in my stroke. I have heavier weights coming this week so hopefully that will help.

Haven’t weighed or swing weighted it but I’m pretty confident in saying it feels very light compared to other similar putters including the short slant Spider Tours. I would say maybe it’s just mine as QC isn’t always the best over at TM.. but I tried two others at a big box store and they were all the same.

I’m quite sure our buddy Scottie Scheffler’s Spider Tour isn’t as feather light as the retail models.
