Tools needed to work on putters....restoration, modifications, etc.

Hey guys.  Looking for some advice on tools needed to either restore used putters to assist in removing dings and marks.  I'm also curious on the best technique to get into the small areas of the putters cavity and such.  I've seen some videos where some people hand sand all the way around but also use a buffing wheel with a compound on it.  What I would like to do is to restore some putters but also work on modifying new putters by hand softening edges, rounding corners and taking away mill marks on the shoulders, etc.

I'm thinking I'll need an assortment of files, sandpaper, a grinder with buffing wheel attachment, a sandblast cabinet.  What I don't know is how to people restore or sand the small tight areas around the cavity?  Do they use a dremel with attachment?

Anything else you think I would need?  Any good videos you know of on techniques?  Thanks for your help.

I'd say a bench grinder with a scotch-brite type wheel is good for taking out any dings, and then you can hand sand more if you need in tight spots. It seems like most stay away from using a dremel unless it's really necessary. Having a way to sandblast is the only way to get a really great finish unless you want to buff it out to a high shine. I recently hand softened the bumpers on mine, then used the bench grinder to get a 200-400 grit finish (don't have a sandblaster). I can see the scratches up close, and it gives some glare in the sun, but it's not too bad. Check out Brad Meehan and igolf906 on youtube.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
