Ping G235 irons

I'm considering a set of Ping G425 orange dot irons. I'm 6-1 and 31 in.from floor to wrist. Been trying to educate myself on the color dot chart.I'm in the brown area but should I move across the graph to get inside the diagonal lines that run from top right to bottom left.That puts me in orange area Any thoughts from more experienced golfers would be welcome Thanks

The chart is just a static recommendation. It’s much more accurate to a dynamic fitting where you actually swing the the club. That will tell you much more about what length and color code would fit you properly.

Using your current iron, draw a vertical sharpie line on a ball, place the line facing your clubface and hit it. Take a look at the mark on your club and measure it with a protractor, app, eyeball it, etc. That will at least tell you what would give you more even turf interaction. Lie angle fitting can be a bit more nuanced than that however - seems like most fittings, as long as you're not too far one way or the other, will use it to change start direction for you as well. More upright will point more left, more flat to the right.
