Golf Course Review

Last Sunday the weather forecast predicted 65 degree weather for the Omaha area. I decided to get a tee time at one of my favorite golf courses, Quarry Oaks. Quarry Oaks is listed as number 72 on the Golf Digest's best 100 public golf courses in the United States. I love Quarry Oaks because you will find turkey, deer, canadian geese and squirrels wandering the course. When you play there you really feel connected to nature. This course plays very long. Some of the par four holes felt like they should be par fives. The greens are very challenging. My wife Peg and I played eighteen holes without seeing any other golfers on the course. It was really fun playing without having to worry about the groups behind us. There was no wind and sunny skies. It was perfect. The best part was spending quality time with my wife on a absolutely beautiful golf course.

this is a great course never a flat lie, lots of trees and i like the hole along the platt river that has the train tracks. the time i play with step father, there was also no one around so we took our time and enjoyed the round. also from a couple of hole you can see the sac musiem at mahonee state park.

Quarry Oaks is a beautiful course and worth the trip. It's unique in that you cannot see other groups as very few holes are visible from the one you are playing. It makes for a peaceful feeling. Really fun course and fantastic scenery, play this one!!
