I'm also interested in the irons. I played the TS202 for a season. So please do a little review on the tourstage irons when you get them? and post some pic's.

I GOT THE NEW VIQ IRONS WITH TITANIUM FACE AND TOURSTAGE GRAPHITE 50 SHAFTS. I LOVE THE FEEL OF STRIKING THE BALL. HAS VERY LARGE SWEET SPOT. MISHITS TRAVEL ALMOST THE FULL DISTANCE. THE HEAD IS LARGER THAN THE SMALLER ONES BEING USED TODAY. THUS THE BIGGER SWEET SPOT. AT ADDRESS THE HEAD LOOKS NORMAL ON TOP LINE. THE LARGER HEAD MAKES U FEEL THAT U CANNOT MISHIT EVEN IF U TRIED.

The new ViQ forged irons are not out yet. The Tourstage X-Blade GR Black is probably TS's newest iron model.

these are the new irons that replaced last year's model. they are easy to hit and can be found at tourspecgolf.com

 

same class as epon 701. i think the tourstage irons are very pleasing to the eye and have that edge over its competitors.

How do you like the graphite shafts? I have the 2006 ViQ forged irons with NS Pro 950 shafts and am looking for something a bit more forgiving. Also have some pain in my elbow and am wondering if a graphite shaft would beneficial.

that is exactly why i use graphite shafts! had surgery 10 years ago to move tendon over. clubs are very forgiving and graphite shafts are excellent. however, being the dork that i am i have gone back to x blade gr with tourstage graphite shafts. had fujikura iron shafts put in and it ruined the look and feel went back to original tourstage and love em again. :)

 

to answer your question a good graphite shaft will dampen the feel from the club into your arms. will not eliminate unless u hit sweet spot everytime. but if u miss the pain will be less. :)

Good information, the new ViQ set up may be perfect for me. Is there a big difference in feel between the 08 ViQ and the forged X Blade?

thei viq series has a larger head and a bigger sweet spot. i prefer the x blade but its just personal choice. and by the way, i have the viq up for sale on ebay right now. :) the viq series compares to the epon 701 series i would think. again its a matter of personal preference. you can see all the clubs on tourspecgolf.com
