Launch Monitor Driver Fitting

I got a gift card to Goldom for a Driver fitting. I went hoping to get some tenchical information about my swing and too see if there were other drivers that could give me more yards and consistency. The system was the Callaway system and it was absolutely amazing!!

I started swing with a very negative swing path causing me to do my harsh fade/slice. -7* or something liek that. I told the fitter that I have been working on swinging more inside but didnt know what it felt like. I had an idea from watching guys who play a draw, like Rocco. and practice. so he put a cardboard box along the inside path and told me to swing along it. What a visual help! I immediately was swinging the on a positive path and the results were straighter and 30 yards farther!

Crazy!! Then he also helped turn my wrists over, which I had always heard about but again, never felt it so wasnt sure how to do it. That was really the key in getting my flight very straight and lower flight, reduced angle down to 13ish. So I hit afew drivers in the store and based on my numbers, he actually reccommended me to keep my current driver, 10.5 Nike original sasquatch 44.5in. But he told me If I was interested in getting another driver, to look for a 9-9.5* regular flex, since I tend to hit the ball high and my launch angle is high. My swing speed was right around 91 the whole time.

So since I have some items to trade in, I am searching for one of the new drivers in the market in 9 or 9.5* I hit a few drivers after the session at golf galaxy, but I really need to test these clubs outdoors where I can see the ball flight. But i tried the Cobra D, Hyper X, Burner, Sumo 5300, and a few others. Honestly I couldnt tell whihc one I hit best, I was getting tired and hit some balls on the heel. I did hit the Nike pretty good and am considerign that Driver since it would be a very close match to my current, same shaft, only longer and lower loft. The Cobra I beleive I had the longest drive of the day it had a bright red shaft and I really like the feel and sound. It just felt powerful, even though I didn't exactly like the look of the head, it looked flatter shallower than the others. The burner also seemed to perform good.

I was looking to hear from people that might have some reccomendations on which driver I should be looking for with my launch numbers, thanks.

Callaway Fitting Numbers. (These numbers are based on my "Inside Swing" and my Nike SQ 10.5* Regular Flex Shaft cut down to 44.5in

swing speed = 91 (95 on Golf Galaxy Monitor)

Ball Speed = 133

Efficiency = 97

Backspin = 2600

Path Angle = +3*

Attack Angle +1

Launch Angle = 16*

Reccomended Loft = 9.5

What driver loft should I be looking for. The ball carried the longest with a 9* driver. I guess I am confusing laungh angle and loft.

My launch angle was very high with my 10.5 nike. I think that's why the fitter told me to go lower loft becuase it brought my launch angle down to around 13* form 16* to 17*

had demo day last week and nike had a fitting system like your talking about. tried several shafts same for callaway and nike only saw about 10 to 15 yards more with the callaway but thats 2 C notes more for the callaway ($200), i don't know about you but i will take 300 over 310 and and keep my $200.

for me the grafalloy plat., aldila by-you (the one i have in my 5000 sumo), the blue diamana (out of my price range), and the proforce V2 worked best for me at 110-112 sw, 12 - 14* launch angle, ball speed 168 ish, and power transfer what ever that is was mid 150s, with a spin rate of around 2900 to 3100rpm. the reason i liked them is that i had a mid ball flight, but can keep it down into the wind if need be, and really get it up if I wanted to.
