Japan PRGR & TM Burner

Hello everyone. Just wanted to share.

 

I made a mid season visit to my club fitter. I only wanted to check my swing. I had no idea to buy anything. I have been happy with my 11 degree Yonex driver with regular flex and FourteeN #4 FW. Walked out with new TM Burner for ladies and Tour AD R2 shaft and brand new PRGR TR-X 505 #5 wood with a Graman 48 Gram regular shaft.

 

The monitor numbers showed I should get a bit more carry and roll with the driver (the shaft was very very smooth feling) and the 5 wood sole is designed to really help on those pesky side hill lies. Monitor numbers for PRGR were just a little longer than the 4 wood I had been using.

 

Hitting the course tomorrow for 36 holes with my gals. The photos are before I hit the course, hope they look the same when I finish!

Hi W, August is my busy golf month. Send me note on 1 September. I will know if my "yonai" is in or out. You get first chance for sure. Can't wait to try the PRGR too! It's almost 5 in the morning here. Getting ready for my 8 o'clock tee time at Laem Chabang then at 1 in the afternoon we will play at the Siam Plantation course. Wish me Luck!!

Play well! That PRGR is smokin. I had a (TR?) 4 wood that was great, it was just too shallow of a face for me to use off the tee box.

 

I'm shocked to hear that you got better numbers from a Burner. The Nanov is just wicked long. I'll PM you in a few weeks.

 

Any interest in a Gauge Design 7 wood head or a PRGR milled putter? Check my BST for some JDM stuff.

Hi W, I was a bit surprized about the Yonex being a tad lower in numbers too. That is why the proof on the course will help me decide. What works in a shop sure doesn't have to be true on the course eh? Time and "distance and control" will tell. Thanks for offer on Data and Gauge 7. I use a PRGR Silver blade 02 mallet and a Scotty depending on my mood! Both are fantastic in my mind. But I putt very consistent with the PRGR that I have 3 identical. 1 in Japan, 1 in Singapore and 1 here with me in Pattaya. I can rent or borrow when traveling but a putter is a club I need for my own! The 7 wood looks intersting and the price is right! Maybe we can deal in September ok??

Good luck with the new sticks - sweet kit you've got, there... any pics of the 5w head?

 

I had a bash with a Tour AD in a friends r7 Quad some time back. Loved the feel in it, almost a kind of 'hinge' through impact... well, to me, anyway. Price was a bit beyond me at the time.
