new shafts for my tour burner irons

what would work well?

my past two sets had x100s in them ( mizzy mp30s and tm rac tp06s) and i really enjoyed the ball flight...


i didnt really bother getting fit for shafts when i purchased the tour burners a month ago and at first they seemed "OK" when i wasnt playing/ practicing as often. now that i have about 90% of my swing speed back i feel the shafts are really weak in my down swing... ( stock 105 -S steel shafts ) i have always hit the ball high and what seemed to bring the ball flight down was the x100s in my other sets; my dilema is the tour burners are a heavier head and i dont want to have super heavy clubs!! ( current swing weight is d3-d4 with built up new decades)


so... right now the shaft seems to lag so much the face stays open and they baloon high right or on occasion, they draw HARD with a medium ball flight


would x100s be ok? by the way my ball speed with my 6iron is on avg 125-130mph, but if i need to jump on it, i can get it over 135mph if i REALLy need to.

I'm not sure about the weight differences between the Taylormade fitting Irons and the finished product but I just put together a Tour burner head with X100 in our Taylormade Fit select bag and it feels great with a swingweight of D3. It was a D2 with the stock taylormade burner steel shaft.

have just recently purchased tour burner irons with px6.5 and they are awesome, lovely flight and distance and arrow straight, not sure on the weight though, hope this helps :rolleyes:
