Pro's that won worldwide events pre 1980 6 foot tall or greater

I'm a taller guy (6'4), I love classic golf clubs and got thinking about this. Who is best tall pro golfer pre 1980? I don't know when the cut over to standard length is (vary's by brand)  but shorter clubs at the time. I'm sure people played thing's upright and a bit longer.

probably weiskopf ... or archer ... 6'3" vs 6'5" ... 16/1 vs 13/1 - pga wins/majors ... weiskopf has several 2nds in majors and has always been historically viewed as a massive underachiever ... don't know much about archer ...

Well I am pretty sure that Gary Player once claimed to be 10 foot tall 😂 
 

Johnny Miller is listed as 6’ 2”. Bob Charles won The Open and was pretty tall. Google tells me 6’ 1”. Seve was 6 foot.

Blackmar at 6’7” was the tallest PGA Tour winner.

Weiskopf.  He got messed in the head losing to Jack all time.  But oh man what a swing.  6'3"

What is it nowadays 15 percent of adult males over 6 foot?

 

I would venture to guess those numbers ring true for wins give or take some percentage points.

 

Middlecoff was 6-2 or so. Ray Floyd over 6 feet. Al Geiberger was 6-2. Hubert Green I think as well. Andy North.

 

Lietzke and JC Snead won a bunch and were over 6-1.

 

Archer, Oosty, Weiskopf were sky scrapers.

 

They were out there then same as it is today.

Plenty of fine six foot-plus players in the lists above, but I'd plump for Miller (around 6'2") or Weiskopf at 6'3" as the best.
