OverHaul'd Bag 11/09

So....I went a bit overboard the other day.

I went out to look at some "newer" irons and came home with this stuff
Sorry about the picture quality, but you guys will get the jist anyhow.
The bag had a defect and will be replaced with a red stand version when it gets here as the proshop had to order me one.
The guy working was a bit OCD I guess because he said I needed the 909 HC instead for the 21* so it all tied together.
The only thing I would have done differently is "OilCan" wedges instead of the "Black Nickel"....but they did not have the set I wanted in the 200 series.

I gotta say...this is the first time I ever went out and bought a complete set of new clubs....it felt wild.

IMO go for the ISIs and not the I3s. The ISIs are really springy and they launch the ball extremely well. Those irons look great in gun metal. I love pings to. The only clubs in my bag that aren't ping are my solus wedges.

I love the G5 driver. It appears to be perfectly square at address and feels as solid as anything on the market!

Man those irons are sweet- I have always loved the TA5 Gunny's- my GW is a 900 in that finish and I love how it looks behind the ball.

I always loved those clevelands. Come to think of it, I'm not sure why I never bought them.

Great looking bag. Amazing how nice the gunmetals look after all this time. You rarely see them in that good a condition anymore. Almost as amazing as a newer member here taking clear pictures of their bag in the daylight as opposed to the many cell phone pics taken indoors at night...almost, but not quite. :cheesy:

Nice update. Lol, OCD guy at the counter is right though, gotta have the 909h headcover to match. I actually just bought a 909F headcover to match the rest of my woods

I guess I deleted all my photo's so I am re-posting my bag pictures.

The bag is a replacement 2010 Premium that Titleist sent me beause of some stitching issues on the original. I gotta say the new strap system left me with questions, but it works very well.

I may be the only person that actually like the looks of the original AP1 irons.
Standard everything and Dynamic Gold HL in regular flex.

This was the only club not brand new.....they had a whole bag of 585.H in every loft and shaft as demo's. I chose the 21* with regular flex 4175 because it felt better to me that the 909H.

The Vokey BN wedges are sure pretty, but if I could do it again I would opt for the 200 Series in Oil-Can finish. I may end up selling these and looking for the Oil-Can's later-

This is some random stuff in my bag....the red tool was a gift from my wife. The Masters marker was another gift from a great friend that attended a few years back....I asked that he bring me a pimento cheese on white bread-

My 909D Comp 10.5 with stock Ozik XCON-5 regular flex. I was going for a 907D1 because of the price at the time, but was able to work a deal out on this driver instead. She don't get a lot of love, but I like her just fine.

I only have two putters at this time...I know that around here it does not meet the minimum [attachment=516456:Picture_031.jpg]

This is all the girls together...the woods are 909F2 15.5 and 18.5 with Diamana Blue 75. I know that everybody gets the Voodoo, but this works for me.

No, I don't have the game for ProV's but I haggled a couple doz. from the proshop when I bought the clubs.

Well....

I know I was going to downsize, however I came upon this Newport OilCan AOP and could not pass it up. It is is remarkable condition for her age and feels great. I am a sucker for a pretty OilCan-

 

The Grips are White Tacki-Mac. I got them as a birthday gift from my wife. I had been looking at the GolfSmith site.....debating between the GP white wraps and Lamkin. Well, I guess she called them and asked for "A set of white grips" and was directed to the Tacki-Mac's by the phone rep. I was a bit skeptical about them, but have since grown to like them very much....easier to clean than I originaly thought. Besides, a gift is a gift and I'm lucky to have such a thoughtful partner.

 

I also picked up a 907D1 in great shape. I posted it to sell, but may end up changing the shaft and keeping it also.

 

Like most on this site I have a list of items I want to try....

909H 21° with Diamana since it was the only combo I did not hit when I bought the 585.H instead.

 

Lastly would be the Studio JAT.....this has always been my dream putter and I may find one with my quarterly bonus.
