Blah.... Adams Hybrid-FW shaft snapped

Head flew off my favorite club in the bag today... my 3-week old Adams Hybrid-FW! This club probably took 5 strokes off my average round... It is that easy to hit.

 

I love this club so much I would like to keep it in the bag. it'd be a shame to replace it due to a broken shaft but I have never done any club building. I am very mechanically minded so I know I could reshaft it myself with little difficulty, but would it be worth it? I can't find a replacement Adila DVS shaft for less than $200.... I could replace the whole club for $170.

 

Is there a better shaft for me? I might go Stiff this time (had reg-flex in it and think I might have gotten my swing speed up significantly). I like a boring ballflight with a bit of roll. My 3-wood is not a green hitting club.

 

Should I reshaft it or just get a new club? :)

 

(I assume that I won't be able to talk Adams into replacing the club under any kind of warranty.... The shaft didn't snap due to any fault of my own... I didn't jam the club into the turf or anything.... just took a normal stroke at a ball and the head flew off. I was so surprised I didn't even see where my ProV1 went... So I figure Adams at least owes me $4 for the lost ProV1!) ;)

Adams will replace that for you. No problem. I work at Dick's Sporting Goods and that stuff happens all the time. Just contact Adams or bring it back to where you bought it. Adams will definitely fix it for you.

Oh, that'd be awesome. I will have to call the place I got it from (which unfortunately is quite a ways away) or Adams customer service and make sure they will replace it. But that'd be the best option, I think. Thanks!
