I like the look of player's club, but my game demands plenty of forgiveness. I think I bridged the gap nicely......

This year I added the Nickent hybrids. I discovered a 3DX in the used bin, liked it and bought a few more online. That is how we ho's roll! That lead to wanting to try the 4DX's and I was hooked. They play like bigger and more forgiving Idea Pros which is perfect! I originally bought a 17 and 21.5 and liked the results so much I went ahead and ordered the 20 and 23 to more fully cover the gaps. The last change was dropping the niblick. I loved the idea, but the results weren't worth the extra club.

This is NOT a back up bag - who needs back up clubs? These are just old clubs that I still love and aren't worth getting rid of. The 983k could go back to my main bag and I wouldn't be any worse off- classic! The mids are so solid, played them for 5 seasons. I played the Mizuno's for 8 years and think they are just as pretty as the day I bought them. The Adams Idea Pro's are just sooooo much more forgiving. Anser 3. 'nuff said. The Sun Mountain leather Sunday bag is too sweet for words. I like it enough to use as my main bag, but I usually play early morning and always walk. And I don't like wet pants. As traditional (and cool) as it is, it can't top a lightweight stand bag for overall comfort.

So there you have it. Not likely to change for 2k10, but you never know......

Hey, I like the bag. Nice use of lead tape on the idea pros. Did you cut them down or just want a heavier swing weight?

 

Also, how do you like the grind on the 58? was thinking about switching to that wedge in satin.

I like that this bag is uniquely yours. I don't think that it would work for me, but I can tell that you have put a lot of time and thought into your bag. I enjoy seeing bags like this that have unusual but very functional setups. Good Work!

Thanks. As for the Pro's, I just wanted a little heavier SW. Adams hybrids don't have many places for lead tape, but I'm happy with the results. I guess I could just buy some weights and go that route, but lead tape works for me......

 

I love the grind on the 58. Very versatile, and that it is 'off the rack' is great!

Thanks....you hit it right on the head! For most any shot that comes up I feel like I have a tool that will work for me. Pulling off the shot is another matter....:)

that's an interesting bag. niblick? i'm not a fan of those. i like the irons though. i would suggest another fairway wood and get rid of the niblick. it must work for you.

Yeah, I have an Adams BUL 3 wood that matches the 5. If the niblick proves to be a gimmick over the long haul, I'll go with the 3, although it doesn't get a ton of use in every round.......
