FTI-Q TOUR

I tried a FTI-Q tour 9.5 and a R9 460 TP today. Had some store credit to use am was trying to decide which onto get. The FTI-Q tour is the straightest driver I have ever hit. The trajectory is much lower than the R9 460 at least with the R9 460 set in the neutral position. They were very close in distance with the edge going slightly to the R9. The FTI-Q however wanted to go straight with maybe a 5 yard fade, was very hard to impossible for me to hit my usual draw. If the store had a IMIX FTI-Q I would have gotten the head as I already have a IMIX Fubuki.

 

But since they did not have one in stock, I got the R9 460 TP, which is a great driver and is much more workable than FTI-Q. I am going to order the IMIX FTI-Q because it is so anti-left (which is my miss) and so straight with very good length. Some people have said that the FTI-Q Tour is closed, but that is only because when you ground the club it wants to move to a closed position, but if you hover club above ground it is not closed at all. I am surprised this driver is not talked about more than it is, as I was very Impressed.

The FT-IQ is a good driver but to me it is overshadowed by the FT-9 in performance and price. The 9 is longer, forgiving, and easy to work

I wll try the FT9 before I order the FTI-Q. I cannot imagine the FT9 being as straight and anti-left as the FTI-Q, which was the thing that most impressed me.

Both are great clubs. Honestly, it's a hard pick - I got both as iMix. The FT9 draw is what I picked up, but wonder if the neutral would have suited me better. Not that its bad, but in my mind I worry about missing left. That's just me. The FT9 is longer than the FtiQ. The iQ will tend to go straighter.... I'm a club ho, so as I said.... I have both and like them both!
