Bushnell Tour V2 vs. Scout 1000

they aren't quite the same...

There is a misconception that the Scout 1000 and the V2 are the same, just different prices. I too, have been very curious about this.

I called Bushnell customer service and they said the V2 has a little better technology and will pick things up a little better.

With this said, I am sure the scout 1000 performs very well. Just thought I would pass on what Bushnell had told me FWIW.

Hmm, call the manufacturer and the more expensive one is better...shocking. Did they give any specifics as to what that "better technology" meant to the user? I am not saying there isn't a difference, but I could have predicted that answer and saved you the time and effort of the phone call.

really feel that you had to say all that? They weren't selling me a product, just STATING THE FACTS.

 

 

Anyway, without getting real technical, he said the Pinseeker and the Bullseye modes is where they differ. Pinseeker on the V2 is a little more precise at picking up smaller things because it has to pick up little targets such as pins and flags. The bullseye on the Scout 1000 that a hunter uses doesnt have to pick up as SMALL of targets that the golfer has to.

 

But, like I said, I am sure the Scout 1000 performs well on the course. He said it would, but there may be times where it doesnt pick flags up as quickly or may take longer to lock in on pin.
