what to regrip the old stand-by's with...

Looking for some ideas for new grips... I like a style similar to the golf pride grip minder ( I think that's what they're called) chords. I also like the tackiness of the original Winn grips, but also could stand some opinions on opinions from Lamkin chord users, or fans of the other Golf Pride chord grip users. Thank you in advace :)

My irons and lob wedge currently have the Golf Pride Tour Velvet corded grip with the grip reminder markings on them. They'll soon be replaced with plain Golf Pride Tour Velvet cords (like my other clubs). I don't see how you can go wrong with them.

My irons were recently reshafted and regripped with Golf Pride New Decade multi-compound grips (red and black). These are very nice grips half cord and half rubber, so far I like them a lot. I would recommend checking these out.

im a large advocate of the lamkin crossline cord...ive used golf pride tour velvets before and they are a nice grip but the crossline cord is just better for me as it feels better and is better in all conditions

Lotta love for the Golf Pride... I think I'll stick with what works

 

Gotta regrip in case there's a decent resell value for my TA4's... but I don't think that will be the case:russian_roulette:, unfortunately... plus, between now and the time that I'm fitted for the new sticks,

I'm going to need to swing and hit balls with something and be able to not break something or kill anyone

My absolute favorite grip of all time are the Royal Sand Wrap Grips. Never heard of them until a few years ago but apparently Phil Mickelson was a proud user of them and not paid to. The grip is amazing to me. I have heard that Royal was purchased by Lamkin and they might stop making them. I am going to order a 100 of the from a source that I have and stash them for the future. I just can't find any other grip that feels as solid and soft at the same time. Plus if you need to oversize them they stretch to as many tap wraps as you need.

I loved the Lamkin Crossline cord, but decided this year to give the multi combound a shot, and wow, they're awesome!

I just switched to the Winn G8 and really like them. The only other grip I have played are tour velvets.

 

 

I've played the Lamkin G3 Qtr Cords for 3 years and like them a lot - but I've changed to Winn G8 Black/Red Grips in my new irons and to the new Winn putter grip. Haven't received them yet so I can't report.

The "new" green grips by Lamkin - Dual Density Crossline. Feel is similar to a GP Tour Velvet, but tackier and a bit softer IMO. Great grips.

I'll second that. It lasts longer, it's easier on your hands, and it has more cord than anything else on the market.

 

Nothing else to ask for from a cord grip.

 

Oh yeah, it's cheaper too.

Oh yeah, the TV cords are $6 a pop if you're lucky. The Lamkin tour black full cords top out at $4.25. The lamkins do everything the tour velvets do, only better.
