What has Sean O'Hair been doing this year. It was crazy last year when on the Golf Channel they talked about him and they said his hometown was Boothwyn. Thats where I live and I wen...OMG. I am too young to remember most of his stuff with his dad. Any way, what is my hometown favorite doing?

Looks like he is stuck in a Sophmore slump. I knew Sean back in the old Cleveland Tour days.

Didn't he switch instructors away from Leadbetter (I know CHIII did, but I thought O'Hair was the first to jump ship)?

 

I know a lot of players like to take the year after a win to make swing changes, coahching changes, etc. since they're fully exempt for a couple of years and don't have to worry about making it back on the money list.

practice rounds at the Masters with Tiger and O"Meara...not bad

I talked with him on Tuesday & he's not down on himself which I was glad to hear. He just ended the convo by saying, "A lot different than the Cleveland Golf Tour!". I remember the practice rounds with him, everyone on our tour knew he was gonna turn out to be something special. I glad that the owner & director of out tour do everything they possibly can for all out us that are trying to make the next step. Sean is the same age as me but has the head of a 30year old vet, remember he had been a pro for some 5years until he finally had a break through year on our tour. Over 50grand in 10 CGT events & all top 10 finishes in 2003!!!!

no doubt he is class, but all players go through quiet patches.....i would say the mostly likely answer is that he is going through swing changes and although he is hitting it well, his confidence hasnt caught up. From what we saw of him last year i have no doubt he has plenty in him.......As Homez implies, he is a fighter and will rise to the top again!

Lanny said he was watching him on the range at the Masters yesterday & could say anything but what a great swing he has. He'll be back to his form, every slight change in your swing throws everything else off a little. So in short time he should have everything together, he's got the mind of a mature grown man. He knows what's up

Did O'Hair play CGT events last season, I thought he was a full time PGA'er last year?

 

What a great story about how his in-laws have taken him under their wing and given him a true family after all that BS he went through.

he played CGT 2003
